OpTic Gaming vs. FaZe Clan LIVE on Television

WHO: OpTic Gaming vs. FaZe Clan

What: Counter Strike

Where: TBS or Twitch.tv/Eleague

When: 10PM Eastern (do the math for your time zone)

WHY: Semi-Finals of a million dollar tournament

Man oh man, OpTic v. FaZe live on T.V for the first time ever is like a dream come true. OpTic & FaZe are both long standing eSports franchises having been around since 2006 and 2010 respectively.

For those who are unaware both FaZe and OpTic started out with Call of Duty and were both heavily involved in the sniper community on YouTube. Faze, now is more heavily influenced and focused on YouTube while expanding into eSports such as Counter Strike and Overwatch. While OpTic has, along with Counter strike, some of the most dominant console FPS teams on the planet in Call of Duty, Gears of War, and Halo (All arguably #1).

Now that both organizations have expanded into other eSports it was only a matter of time to see a OpTic v. FaZe CS match but this one happens to be bigger, and better than both organizations could have imagined. This is the big ticket, the main event, OpTic v. FaZe. On main-stage. Counter Strike Go. ELeague (Over 1 million prize pool). LIVE ON TBS at 10PM.

As a long time OpTic supporter I am overjoyed at the prospect of watching them play long on T.V (May even make it to a bar for this one), but I am also hyped for FaZe. It’s amazing to see both these orgs start out as sniper clans to now, just a few short years later be playing in the semi-finals of a massive tournament live on TV.

I really can’t stress how cool this is for eSports and these orgs. I know ELeague has been on TV before today but we’re talking about arguably two of the biggest eSports orgs in not only North America but maybe even the world. This series has appeal and I cannot wait for it to go down.

The winner of this match will go onto play either SK or Astralis in the finals on Saturday December 3 at 4PM Est.

Oh yeah fun fact: This is the first time in 2016 that OpTic and FaZe will play against each other on LAN (Didn’t once in Call of Duty).
