WELL WHO DIDN’T SEE THIS ONE COMING.
Arsenal, for the 3rd time in 5 years will be playing Bayern Munich in the Champions league round of 16 knockout stage.
In other news, the sky is blue and the grass is green.
Now trust me, I get that supporters are upset and the rest of the world laughs at us for constantly getting a tough draw but the fact of the matter is this is the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. This is the competition with all the best teams in the world, there is no “easy way to the finals.” There is no cheat codes. Now granted, some teams can have easier runs or easier match-ups than Arsenal’s, but the fact of the matter is at some point you are going to have to play the big boys.
Honestly at this point, I don’t care when we play Bayern whether it’s the round of 16 or the semis because at the end of the day if we lose we’re out and no one remembers the loser. I wouldn’t think of it any different.
I believe we are a better team than Bayern this season and I think having our home leg second will benefit us greatly. To be perfectly honest I can’t wait to watch this match-up. I think this is our best team to go against them and their weakest side (PS: They aren’t weak).
See you Febuary 15th in Munich.
