The Gunners have made up some room in the table after thrashing lowly Swansea 4-0 away. After a tricky first half which saw Swansea dominate early on, Arsenal were able to settle in the match and secure a comfortable 3 points.
Swansea started the game off well creating chance after chance, and then Arsenal woke up. Olivier Giroud opened the scoring in the 37th minute after some nice build up place between Ozil and Iwobi. Arsenal were up 1-0 at the half and never looked back.
Iwobi, who was relatively quiet for the first half of the match really sprung to life in the second. Disrupting Swansea’s back line was his main point in that second half and it was his deflected shots in both the 54th and 67th minute respectively that gave the Gunners a 3-0 lead before Alexis Sanchez bagged his league leading 15th goal of the campaign.
All in all 3points. Liverpool and United draw and City get thrashed away at Everton keeps us in the thick (aside from Chelsea). Burnley at home on the weekend!
