Dota 2’s biggest tournament of the year has been announced for 2017. The crowd funding juggernaut will hope to eclipse it’s record setting price money from 2016.
As someone who is not a fan of Dota 2 this tournament is still one of the biggest and best across both eSports and regular sports. I will tune in each year just to watch a bit of the spectacle that is TI (The International).
Unfortunately fans will be upset that price has essentially gone up $200 since the previous year. Now, you can pay $100 for mid week matches and $200 for the weekend matches (quarters, semis, finals) totaling $300. Last year TI cost $100 TOTAL.
Hopefully this trend doesn’t continue.
